4 Spring Outfits

This is more of an evening look and I chose this fairly thin knit as it does still feel chilly later in the day. Underneath I  had a little crop top just in case I felt warm.

These shoe boots felt perfect with this outfit as the cutout effect at the ankle and the pattern they make the outfit slightly less basic (got to love monochrome). I added a double chain necklace but also a longer silver maybe coin style pendant would make it slightly more rugged.

Secondly this was a look I wore around London again with my trusty jeans which feature in almost all of these outfits! This, teamed with my turquoise kipling rucksack, still is quite  basic and understated with the subtle pattern, perfect for Spring.

Vans Old Skools

I actually bought this top as a dress but chucked it over some jeans and found the length really worked. Multifunctional pieces like this are really useful to have in your wardrobe for the unpredictable British weather.

This third look is a spin on my classic shirt round waist outfit which I live in using a lighter more spring like shirt as oppose  to my trusty black flannel. I rediscovered this cropped t-shirt after convincing myself they didn't suit my body shape and it turns out I like it!

Finally a different pair of jeans making an appearance these dark wash denim still keep the colours muted so perfect for that transitioning wardrobe from Winter to Spring.

And finally another white tee and jean look, a personal favourite of mine and this I paired with a chunky knit cardigan and my beautiful new Park Lane sandals.

I think jeans and sandals are the perfect base for any Spring outfit. Cream and white usually makes me cringe but I think it really works here to just dampen the monochrome running through the bulk of the outfit and give it the Spring touch it needs.

Recent Purchases

So I thought I would start with some of my recent buys in this big transitional period into the warmer months!

Clothing

HM Stripey Top (similar)
HM Leaf Top(similar)
HM Dress
Zara Dress
Zara Skirt
Nike Roshe Run
Topshop Jamie Jeans
Primark Jumper (similar)

I really wanted to start injecting some much needed colour into my wardrobe and venture into a world outside of my beloved monochrome. I am wanting to make a transition from Autumn/Winter this year with the addition of some print and colour into my existing wardrobe to just keep it moving over the next few months. Go check out my instagram where you can see some outfits including some of these products : @ginnyginsta

This does all add up to be quite pricey but if you shop smart you can save a lot of money - these trainers are from the junior section in JD so you save £30 if you can fit them and also with 10% student discount in topshop the jeans go down from the steep £42 to a much kinder £37.80.

This was a boots haul both online and in store where I took advantage of some of their offers at the time, some of which I believe are still running so go and have a browse. The micellar water and eyeliner were repurchases but everything else are new things I've read blogs about and been wanting to try so I will hopefully I do some reviews on these products or a makeup look. I may start linking the products I have on in my Instagram posts so you can see how I wear them.

Take 2

So as you have probably noticed, I have deleted all my previous posts. I did this because I felt my content was too long winded, the photos weren't good and I would much rather just start all over again. I am hoping to get properly into blogging once my exams have finished, posting once a week eventually.

If you have never read my blog before then there's nothing unusual to you, but you may need some introductions! I'm Ginny, I'm 17 and currently in sixth form studying English Lit, Classics, Latin and French. I love fashion and am self confessed serial shopper who's recently got into makeup and beauty a lot more.

I really hope you enjoy my posts and any comments would be greatly appreciated. If you don't already, head over and follow my Instagram because there you can see ootds and how I style many of the products you will start seeing on my blog or just because you're nosy, its @ginnyginsta.

So here it goes… take 2!
